Hemming Brick History

The Hemming Family have been brick makers for several generations, originaly coming from Birmingham and then Solihul over to the present site in Coventry in 1938.

Hemming Brick - Coventry

The Brickworks was mostly rebuilt during 1939 by German workers who never completed the works as they left before war was declared.

The works only started making bricks in 1946 and was used by the military to store armaments, and was bombed on several occasions during the war.

Over the years the brick company continued to make Imperial size bricks using the same production plant to recreate the best match to bricks made over 50 to 100 years before and supplying many customers who have bought our bricks since the war.
